Many communities in the United States such as Ivins are beginning to embrace the concept of “roundabouts.”  A roundabout is composed of a circular, raised, center island with deflecting islands on the intersecting streets to direct traffic movement around the circle.  Traffic circulates in a counter-clockwise direction making right turns onto the intersecting streets. There are no traffic signals; rather, entering traffic yields to vehicles already in the roundabout.
