Ivins City Volunteer Fire Association is proud to offer the “Ivins Firehouse Grub” cookbook. The book is a collection of recipes from volunteer fire fighters, Public Safety and Ivins City employees. The cost is $10 and the proceeds provide a variety of special programs that include equipment, education and emergency assistance to our officers, firefighters and EMT’s.
Emergency Notifications - Reverse 9-1-1
In order to be proactive in getting vital emergency information to our citizens, the Ivins Public Safety Department along with St. George 911 Communication Center is utilizing an emergency communication system known as Reverse 911.
Burn Permits Closed
The burn season is now CLOSED. The next open burn season is scheduled for this spring. Burn windows are specific periods identified by State and Federal regulations where the burning of weeds and other agricultural debris is allowed. Burn windows are established to address fire safety and environmental concerns and correspond with normal yearly weather patterns. We thank you for your efforts in keeping our city safe.
Free Blood Pressure Checks
The Ivins City Fire/Rescue Department offers free blood pressure checks to the citizens of Ivins City. We want to help citizens understand and maintain their health. Stop by the fire department from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. any day and the on-duty EMT’s will check your blood pressure and answer any questions you might have. If you would like to make an appointment, please call the office at 435-674-1083.

Fire/Rescue personnel provide fire services to the residents and businesses of Ivins City, as well as a 495 square mile response area which includes Gunlock, Snow Canyon State Park, Motoqua, Shivwits Indian Reservation,and Old Highway 91 to the Arizona border.

C.E.R.T Training
The Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) program helps to prepare citizens to assist within their communities in the event of a disaster. The training consists of instruction in disaster preparedness, emergency first aid, light search and rescue, fire safety, disaster coordination, terrorism, communication and disaster psychology. This training offers a great opportunity for team members to assist their family, friends and neighbors in the event of a major disaster.
