Recreation

Under the shadows of the Big Red Mountain, Ivins has many of the natural attributes needed to provide an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities.  With its proximity to Snow Canyon, Red Cliffs Desert Reserve, Santa Clara River Reserve, the Three Rivers Trail System and many other natural recreation areas, Ivins attracts people who enjoy an active lifestyle of biking, jogging, hiking and other types of outdoor activities. Year-round good weather in Ivins invites a greater than average use of all kind of outdoor facilities for all the various demographic groups.

Ivins’ proximity to Southern Utah’s National and State Parks systems, the warm climate, natural environment, wildlife, safe neighborhoods and residents interested in health has long attracted recreation and fitness enthusiasts.  Within Ivins City, planned parks, trails, economic development and schools provide great opportunities for a system of recreational facilities and an interconnecting trails system.
