Burn Permits

BURN SEASON OPEN

The spring burn season is currently open. Burn windows are specific periods identified by State and Federal regulations where the burning of weeds and other agricultural debris is allowed. Burn windows are established to address fire safety and environmental concerns and correspond with normal yearly weather patterns. With the opening of the fall burn season, you are welcome to use burning as a means of facilitating the cleanup of your properties. In order to burn within the city you need to obtain a burn permit. Permits are no cost and can be obtained over the internet.  To obtain a burn permit go to www.sgcity.org/police and click on the County Burn Permit icon on the right side of the page, follow the instructions to fill out the on-line permit.
